What is
Thin Content?

Pages with little or no unique value — typically targeted in pSEO penalties.

Definition

Thin content is content that adds little value beyond what already exists. It can be auto-generated, plagiarized, doorway, or just shallow. Programmatic SEO is at the highest risk of producing thin content; the antidote is unique data, original analysis, and intent-matched depth per page.

Example

500 pages of "[product] review" that all share 90% of the text are thin content; 500 pages with unique pros/cons/screenshots are not.
