What is
Search Intent?
The underlying goal behind a user's search query — informational, navigational, commercial, transactional.
By Anish· Founder · Vedwix
·Definition
Search intent classifies queries by what the searcher is trying to accomplish. Informational ("what is RAG"), navigational ("Stripe login"), commercial ("best AI tools 2026"), and transactional ("buy Claude API credits"). Matching content to intent is the single biggest SEO lever.
Example
A page targeting "best CRM" should be a comparison post, not a product page — that's a commercial intent query.
How Vedwix uses Search Intent in client work
Every pSEO page is mapped to intent and writes content style accordingly.
