What is
Long-Tail Keywords?

Specific, lower-volume search queries that collectively make up most search demand.

Definition

Long-tail keywords are specific, multi-word queries with low individual volume but high collective demand. They have less competition, higher intent, and better conversion than head terms. Long-tail strategies (programmatic SEO, deep glossaries, niche guides) win because head-term competition is brutal.

Example

"Programmatic SEO agency for SaaS startups in Austin" — almost no monthly searches but very high commercial intent.
