What is
On-Page SEO?

Optimizations applied directly to a page — content, headings, links, schema, meta tags.

Definition

On-page SEO covers everything search engines see when fetching the page: title, headings, body content, internal links, image alt text, schema markup, and URL structure. It's the highest-control area of SEO. Off-page (backlinks, authority) and technical (crawl, render, indexation) complete the picture.

Example

An on-page audit of a product page might reveal missing H1, weak internal links, no schema, and an unoptimized title — all easy wins.
