What is
CDN?

Content Delivery Network — globally distributed servers that cache and serve content close to users.

Definition

A CDN distributes cached content across many edge locations worldwide. Static assets, HTML, and even some dynamic content can be served from the closest location to each user — dropping global latency from seconds to milliseconds. Modern web stacks treat CDN as default infrastructure.

Example

Vercel, Cloudflare, and Fastly are common CDNs for modern web apps.
